Our web application development service is for when you need some specific or unique functionality.

The word "application" simply means that there is some interaction between the web site and the user, perhaps to control what is displayed, book an event or make a purchase.

Types of Web Applications

Web applications can be delivered by a web developer in two ways:

• Stand alone.  The application functionality is the main purpose of a website (for example, a site like Google).
• Add on module.  Functionality is used to enhance or add to a larger website.

The type of bespoke functionality possible is very wide, from a simple enhancement (like a search box that starts offering options as you type) to a complete system (like a booking system for a sports club).

Our Content Management System also has many configurable application modules that accelerate the speed at which a sophisticated, interactive web site can be built.  We can also build our own modules to use within the CMS where the functionality you require does not already exist.
